About

After fleeing Orange County, CA, as a young Jew who sunburns easily, I studied Westerns at Wesleyan University, pitched dialogue for a now-canceled soap opera, and eventually enrolled in law school during those early Obama years. A week later, I dropped out and became a copywriter.

Writing was always going to be the thing.

Today, I’m an Oakland-based Group Creative Director known for being a strategic creative and an empathetic leader. I’ve got a knack for finding the storyline, expressing it clearly, and these days, helping others do the same. I’m particularly proud of co-founding Google’s Creative Fellowship for emergent talent and making something Beyoncé liked. I’m at my best leading purpose-driven creative. And when those moments arise and someone needs to sell in the work to a particularly skeptical stakeholder or advocate for the team, it’s evident: I would have been one helluva litigator.
